ABSTRACT
Gosforth, the local publican, is attempting to organize the annual village fête. The odds are stacked against him; the weather is bad, the sound system doesn’t work, and the local dignitary who will open the fête has arrived early. Then Gosforth is told that he is about to become a father…. Gosforth has just bustled into the tent and is explaining the itinerary to the local celebrity and his companion.
