ABSTRACT

Courant, 908: *"'l \f-l!':--"i-~lj,E\;;~f9j!fc Nyu-si Nyangmun nok, "Record of the Two Branches of the Yu [Chinese: Liu] Faimly" (title only). Kim T'aejun, 160, gives the same, implying that it is imitative of a Chinese work. Kim Kidong, 594, quoting Kim T'aejun, lists it as a love story in Korean set in China, existing in paperback edition(s). Recent press reports mention a ~1J"$Wif9j!fc Yu Yi Yangmun nok, "Record of the Two Families Yu and Yi [Chinese: Liu and Li]" as being in the Palace library. I did not see this in 1962, but, if the reports are correct, this may be the original for Courant's title as above.
