ABSTRACT
Th~ story concerns a family called ·q! An in Korean, that is probably either An or Yen in Chinese, in fifteenth century China (Ming, Ch'eng-hua), and is in traditional form, but I have not read enough of it to summarise it with confidence, or to see the relevance of the title, presumably something like "The Beauty of Spring a Thousand Leagues Away", to the story.
