ABSTRACT
For many people who do not belong to the Swiss Confederation, the vacation paradise with its mountains and lakes is fairy tale land and a land in which four languages are spoken: German, French, Italian, and Rhaeto-Romanish (Ladin). Both of these assumptions are incorrect.
