ABSTRACT
Logger poetry is part of the heritage of occupational poetry, traditionally composed and then recited or sung by those in hazardous and demanding outdoor occupations. The roots of this tradition are centuries old and are discussed in detail in this volume's “Cowboy Poetry and Other Occupational Folk Poetry” entry.
