ABSTRACT
chemical technology penetrates all areas of our industrial economy. Its products have a role in satisfying the six basic needs of mankind—food, clothing, shelter, transportation and communication, medication, and tools, machinery and equipment with which to work. They serve the seventy-two basic industrial groups as enumerated by the United States Chamber of Commerce. Their markets embrace our entire economic structure.
