ABSTRACT
THE PURPOSE OF this chapter is to consider the variety of roles an FE teacher can be required to undertake and some of the ways in which those roles may effectively be discharged. Although the term ‘FE teacher’ is used in this book, ‘lecturer’ is commonly used, but several other terms relate to teaching roles in FE.
