ABSTRACT
Given the very serious repercussions of highlighting incidents of corrupt behaviour, there is often disagreement in the literature regarding: (i) what constitutes corruption, (ii) what causes corrupt behaviour, and (iii) how such behaviour can be investigated sensitively with a view to (iv) prevention.
