ABSTRACT

Focusing intrapersonal, interpersonal and intergroup processes, research on fairness-related aspects is well established in social psychology. Studies concern: distributive or procedural justice, reciprocity in altruism, negative reciprocity in interpersonal and intergroup conflicts, and equity or equality It is thus not surprising that psychology – or, to be more exact, social psychology – is considered relevant for describing and explaining distributions of environment-related benefits and/or burdens in social systems, too.
