ABSTRACT
It is well established that the disabled population of these regions lack adequate rehabilitation services. In general, facilities are concentrated in urban areas with little or no activity at the rural or community level. Specialized urban services, such as those available in institutions in Bombay, Bangkok and Rangoon, offer a wide variety of clinical facilities of satisfactory to excellent standards. However, these locations cannot satisfy the widespread nature of demand for such services.
