ABSTRACT
As we stand on the threshold of the new millennium, now is the time to reflect on global solidarity among humankind and consider how to deal with the problems oppressing large sectors of society In doing so, it is critical to deal with such issues as persistent indebtedness and the net flow of resources from South to North.
