ABSTRACT

The seven action research projects, which were implemented for two years 2007–2009, lie at the heart of this programme. They cover a broad spectrum of agricultural products from basic food crops (cassava and fonio) to higher value products (bay leaves, kalamansi) to globally traded products (pangasius and octopus and incense sticks) across a broad range of rural contexts in the South. The projects were all implemented within the conceptual and methodo-logical framework outlined in Chapter 2.
