ABSTRACT
Many of the women here (an estate in Glasgow) they’ve not got the confidence … and it’s a shame, but I think it all stems back from school. You see, like me when I was going through school, you think – you just come here and get through the day and that’s it, and it’s not till years later that you think, God what a mug I was, what a fool. If I’d have had my mother as involved in school, that would’ve helped me. But you didn’t have it. No, the teacher wouldn’t have wanted them there then, and it would’ve made a difference.
