If the child does not respond readily to the concerted efforts of home and school, then… both home and school will need to draw on the established partnership in their efforts to find a solution. If this partnership is not established early parents may feel they are being blamed for their children’s difficulties and may avoid contact with the school, damaging the potential for working together.
