ABSTRACT

Whiff is a beautiful and well-behaved warthog, whose parents are very proud of him and want him to make friends and be happy. Unfortunately, every time Whiff tries to make a new friend, he comes home unhappy and in disgrace — he's either too rough or has bad manners, or is smelly, and the other babies' Mums just don't want him around. Poor Whiff and his parents are very upset and wonder who will ever want to play with such an antisocial baby. But everything turns out well in the end because Whiff pals up with Baby Littlebird who's delighted when lots of flies follow Whiff's smell — Whiff is a walking restaurant for Baby Littlebird, so the two babies play happily together, and both sets of parents are delighted that their babies' newfound friendship is so happy.
