ABSTRACT
Handa sets out from her village to take a surprise basket of fruit to her friend Akeyo. There's banana, guava, orange, mango, pineapple, avocado pear and passion fruit. However, on the journey to Akeyo's village, Handa's basket, which she is carrying on her head, is gradually plundered by different animals that are tempted by the different fruits. As she arrives at Akeyo's village, Handa walks under a tangerine tree which drops its fruit into her basket, when a goat runs into the trunk. What a surprise both girls get — Akeyo when Handa shows her the unexpected basket and Handa when Akeyo says that tangerines are her favourite fruit!
