Introduction Comprehensive analysis of the multifarious aspects of managing growth in non­ governmental organisations is beyond the scope of this chapter which is an introduction to some of the main issues and considerations. This chapter was not written as the result of formal, systematic research but is the result of personal experience and informal discussions with staff in a variety of NGOs over 18 years.
