ABSTRACT
Examples of regulatory systems of SEA are still relatively scarce. With a very few exceptions (eg New Zealand, the Netherlands and the US), most countries in which SEA has been carried out in practice do not yet have a legislated process. Experience with SEA is emerging, essentially based on self-learning case studies that focus on particular types of comprehensive (area-wide) and sectoral PPP activities.
