ABSTRACT
Ralph Waldo Trine (1866-1958) also propounded a variety of New Thought intended to energize individuals by allowing them to recognise God as the Life Force 'back of all' and within themselves. Believing that the competing structures of organized religions hid this basic truth common to all of them, he foresaw a worldwide spiritual awakening cutting across previously entrenched divisions and made extensive use of the media to try to achieve it.
