ABSTRACT
Albert Β. Cleage (b. 1911) was pastor of the Shrine of the Black Madonna in Detroit when he delivered a number of sermons speaking directly to African-Americans of the Black Nation as God's chosen people and seeking to convince them that a revolutionary struggle to maintain their dignity was God's will. The only criterion for right action was that it should make black people proud.
