ABSTRACT
Conservative evangelicals have shown themselves adept at using the evolving mass media to deliver their message. Most recently, the phase of the 'electronic church', television has been a sufficiently powerful instrument to create national reputations for a number of preachers, Pat Robertson amongst them. His success has enabled him to launch an explicitly conservative political movement based in Protestant Fundamentalism.
