ABSTRACT
By way of relief from the sterner business of presenting and listening to papers, the conference spent an afternoon at the North of England Open Air Museum at Beamish, Co Durham. The Museum is about 30 minutes easy travel by coach from Durham and we were able to take advantage of a fine if windy day.
