ABSTRACT
Giving a solution to the problem of realistic, site-specific assessment of solar cell efficiencies with minimum site-specific input data, the weather data generation procedure is presented in connection with the construction of a simple solar cell model. The deviation of realistic cell efficiencies from the values corresponding to standard reporting conditions (SRC) can be determined with the presented model by simple analytical calculations on the basis of monthly means of a few meteorological variables.
