ABSTRACT
The construction of the Finnish demonstration house for IEA Task 13 was finished in June 1994. The objective of the house is to examine how low an energy consumption can be achieved by present energy saving technologies or new technologies based on recognized construction principles. The total yearly consumption of purchased electricity is estimated at about 20 kWh/m2 which is below 10% of the current average level in Finnish small houses.
