ABSTRACT

This article regards the application of a new component used for the lighting of areas that do not have any direct contact with the exterior. In order to obtain this effect, it is exploited the natural zenithal light obtained through the reflection.

The project was carried out in a building situated in the centre of the old town S. Colombano al Lambro near Milan.

The environmental conditions of the site are characterized by the presence of an overcast sky during long periods of the year and by a component of diffuse light connected with another of direct light.
