ABSTRACT
In most climates a solar system designed for space heating will have excess heating capacity in summer. By installing an air to water heat exchanger and introducing a summer mode excess heat can be put to work heating domestic hot water (DHW). This simple, low cost addition to the system will greatly improve its economic return.
