ABSTRACT
THEBIS (THERMIE and European Building Demonstration Project Information System) is being developed under the European Commission’s THERMIE programme as a computer database containing information on monitored projects in the buildings sector. When completed the database will contain technical, financial and energy saving information from building projects that have been funded by the EC as demonstrations or targeted projects. These projects offer a wealth of information far in excess of anything that could be produced by individual Member States. But so far this information has not been well exploited and replication has been disappointingly low.
