ABSTRACT
Location: The city of Cape May is located at the southernmost tip of New Jersey, starting point of the Garden State Parkway. Entrance to the town from the parkway is via Lafayette Street. Most of the historic district, at the center of town, is roughly bounded by Washington Street, Perry Street, Beach Avenue, Howard Street and Franklin Street, although other historic sites are scattered beyond these borders throughout the town.
