ABSTRACT
This paper discusses the need to certify PV manufacturers and their products. Questions answered include, what does certification actually mean, why would a manufacturer or a customer be interested in certification and how can a manufacturer or installer become certified. Status of the present certification program is reviewed and those areas requiring standards development are identified.
