ABSTRACT
Since 1996 the Interactive Learning System for Renewable Energy (ILSE) is accessible in the Internet. ILSE is one of the first interactive applications in the Internet about renewable energy. This learning system offers lessons about solar energy, wind energy and energy policy. The users can test their knowledge with interactive multiple choice test. Besides the lessons and tests for learning purposes there is an extensive toolbox with multiple possibilities for online calculations and simulations. The toolbox contains tools for the calculation of characteristics of solar cells, PV modules and inverters as well as complex economic analysis and performance analysis of grid connected PV systems.
