ABSTRACT

The development of photovoltaic inverters has recently moved towards smaller units in order to increase modularity and energy yield in shaded areas. This paper presents the design of a module-oriented inverter of 110 W. The current controller is implemented in an inexpensive 8-bit micro controller, which uses a hysteresis technique also known as bang-bang control. Emphasis has been put on high energy-efficiency (over 90 %) and low cost components.
