ABSTRACT
Siemens has developed high capacity 3-phase power conditioner units in a power range from 20kVA up to 1.2MVA (4x300kVA master/slave) for utility scale application. The inverter units SINVERTsolar are already constructed for the future demands of our customers concerning economy, protection equipment, operation, monitoring, visualisation and grid compatibility. The inverter units are based on the Simovert Masterdrives series, an AC drive converter from Siemens. High quality and reliability as well as a fair market price are some of the outstanding features of this IGBT-based inverter. Another advantage is the variety of types, which enables to offer a wide power range. Further features of the STNVERTsolar inverter units are the new 3-phase MSD (Mains Switching Device) to prevent islanding, insulation monitoring for PV generator with sequential fault location, phase shifter, VAR control, active THD filter and standardised operating and monitoring systems (PowerProtectsolar and PV-WinCC).
