ABSTRACT
The world's largest rooftop photovoltaic power plant, consisting of 7812 solar modules with a peak power of 1.016 kW, is situated on the New Munich Trade Fair Centre. The generated solar DC power is transferred into AC on the 0,4-kV-low voltage level by only one inverter unit consisting of three 330 kVA inverters. Measurements have been carried out to determine the line side behaviour of this 1-MW-PV-Generator on the AC-Side of the inverter. It can be seen that no limits of the standard EN 50160 are exceeded and that in times of high PV-Generation, the quality of the line side voltage is improved by the operation of the inverter unit.
