ABSTRACT
High horizons and shadows on PV-systems lower the energy yield. Chimneys, lift-superstructures, trees, buildings, mountains, etc. can hurt the performance. The 360°-camera-tool panoramamaster and the software horizon vl.O allow the fast and precise photometric determination of the horizon. An expensive lens equipment is not necessary. The calculated horizon can immediately be processed in known simulation software (e.g. PolySun, MeteoNorm).
