ABSTRACT
The Univer Project consists in the installation of a grid-connected photovoltaic system, with a total power of 200 kWp, at Jaén University Campus. This project is carrying out under the Thermie Programme (SE/00383/95/ES/UK). The main objective is the integration of a medium scale PV plant using different architectural solutions. This project presents two innovative aspects: on the one hand, on development of the necessary technology that is able to implement medium–high scale PV plants in crowded places, mainly focused on safety and protection systems: on the other one, to develop and analyse different architectural solutions to integrate PV generators using constructive structures easily replicable. The participating institutions are: Universidad de Jaén (coordinator), Isofotón S.A., Solar Jiennense S.L., Instituto de Energía Solar (UPM), Newcastle Photovoltaic Aplications Centre and Compañía Sevillana de Electricidad.
