ABSTRACT
The purpose of the EURALP project is to show the great technical and economical progress made by photovoltaic hybrid systems which are now capable to support electric power with the same quality and service guarantee as a conventional power source even in very remote and critical areas. The project consists of 31 subprojects ill the range of 1-5 kWp located in mountain regions all over Europe. First results of the comprehensive monitoring programme show good performance ratios and proof, that the systems are well designed and adapted to the users needs. This also results in a high degree of user's satisfaction.
