ABSTRACT
Quality is considered to be an extremely important parameter for photovoltaic systems, first of all because the investment costs are high compared to other energy sources, and secondly because the depreciation of a system may take place over several decades. The Danish government has launched a support programme for PV systems on commercial buildings and recently also a program for apartment buildings and institutions. In order to ensure a good quality of the subsidised systems, it was agreed to set up a quality assurance scheme based on the experience with a similar model for solar thermal systems.
