ABSTRACT
This paper describes the current government activities relating to Photovoltaics as implemented in the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) New and Renewable Energy Programme. To set the context the paper starts with a brief review of the UK Government's programme on New and Renewable Energy. Key activities in the programme are then described with a particular emphasis on the application of building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV).
