ABSTRACT
The newly developed AVALANCHE Server uses an unprecedented approach to provide an always upto-date market overview of renewable energy technologies, among them PV modules, on the Internet with minimum maintenance efforts. It is formed by an internet robot that searches individual HTML documents from PV module manufacturers with product information on PV modules. The concept is promising on the long term because it requires minimum efforts for maintaining the AVALANCHE Server and is based on the self-interest of PV module manufacturers to include standardised META tags into their own HTML documents. Simulation software can directly retrieve AVALANCHE data for its calculations.
