ABSTRACT

Grid-connected PV-systems were first introduced in demonstration projects where mainly technical aspects of the systems were examined. The price for the systems was based on the STC power. With rate-based incentives it will become important for an investor to be able to calculate the kWh-price from a given system. To link system price and system performance PV-system suppliers should give a performance guarantee. Guaranteed Results are a powerful marketing instrument. They establish confidence and give advantages both to customers and PV companies. Within an ALTENER-project a model contract for grid connected PV systems including performance guarantees is developed. Using this GRSPV method will increase the quality of the systems. Confidence of investors will help to increase the PV market.
