ABSTRACT
This paper presents the general context of the rural electrification planning in Tunisia and the GIS based methodology applied to evaluate the market for solar photovoltaic home kits. The methodology, based on cost/benefit risk analysis has been applied within the frame of the European project IRESMED. First results for a selection of Tunisian villages are presented.
