ABSTRACT

Mozambique's Ministry of Health is implementing the project "Solar Energy for Rural Health Facilities". The first phase, consisting of systems for 40 health systems is just finished. In this paper the systems are described, and some preliminary observations on user views are presented. One of the systems is supplied with a data logger, and we give an example of how results from such detailed measurements may be used. Finally we sum up the lessons learned from the project so far, and we propose a model for how sector-wise PV-projects may benefit efforts for general PV-electrification.
