ABSTRACT
The Author's views on the success and failures of PV for electrification in developing countries are briefly summarised. The case for a global programme, costing perhaps 5% of aid budgets, with the target of Electricity for All, is presented. This requires political initiatives, and the PV community must become more aggressive in selling the PV solution for a better world.
