ABSTRACT
We have illustrated and analysed a future large-scale production of dye photovoltaic cells for consumer electronics by simulating a full-scale production line in 3D. The dye solar cell technology has not yet entered production phase. However, since production methods have been developed, the 3D simulation of the designed production lines combined with thorough cost analysis creates a credible guideline for further development and investment for production of the dye photovoltaic cell. This simulation concept can be applied to other solar technologies and processes that are undergoing industrial development.
