ABSTRACT

A new classification criterium that provides the minimum mismatch losses is presented. Its main innovation is the fact that this novel criterium, which can be deduced from variational principles, breaks with the generalised idea that links classification and less dispersion. To compare with other classification criteria a computer simulation has been carried out with 1000 PV cells modelled by a single-exponential equation with three parameters: short-circuit current, open-circuit voltage and series resistance.
