ABSTRACT
DOROTHY BRITTON was born in Japan before the war and returned there during the Occupation. She became a writer, translator, composer and musician. Over many decades she has been a bridge between Japanese and English cultures. Her account of how this happened makes fascinating reading and connects pre-war times, the Occupation and modern Japan:-
