ABSTRACT
When looking through a multi-paned window one is faced with the choice of viewing the outdoors through a single pane of glass, or stepping back to utilize all the panes in the window to gain a more comprehensive view. Although the glass affects our perceptions of color and light, and muntins disrupt the continuity of our view, we account for these distortions in our appraisal of the scene.
