ABSTRACT

From the recognition of mobility as a human right it results that private companies cannot discriminate disabled people saying that it is government’s duty to carry the problems faced by impaired persons. Nowadays social rights are on the same plane as the rights of freedoms even because individualism is bound to fail; therefore, it is necessary to alleviate disabled people from their handicaps. In a democracy majority and the government decide how many resources are to be allocated for a certain purpose, in this case to allow disabled people to enjoy mobility. Synthetically, as regards their basic freedoms, disabled people have the same right to be helped independently from the preferences of the majority. One of the reasons for this is because law means protection of minorities. It is known that urban mobility is the most important one for disabled people and that it can be cheap to have urban public transport accessible to the disabled.
