ABSTRACT
The paper reports on a research study in the United Kingdom which analysed the difficulties disabled motorists experienced in wearing seat belts. The paper examines methods of overcoming the difficulties but emphasises that as there is no correlation between the ability to wear a seat belt and the ability to drive it will remain neccessary for some disabled motorists to be exempted from seat belt regulations.
