ABSTRACT

It is a truism to assert nowadays that economic efficiency and its reflection in competitiveness is ruled by elements which differ amply from those prevailing in the international economy until very recently. The changes, openly manifested since the crisis of the seventies, have substantially modified most aspects of the social life and the economic operation as well. In fact, we have witnessed profound transformations ranging from the most general aspects down to very microeconomic characteristics of the firm’s structure.
